In between lashings of ham, fireworks and sticking to new year resolutions, brokers have been thinking about what they need to grow in 2024.
LMG has developed a learning and development program to support the new year's goals for brokers. It involves a multi-pronged strategy that provides the knowledge and tools to elevate their own, their team’s, and their business's performance to the next level.
And while a lot of uncertainties lay ahead, one thing is definite - brokerages need to keep learning, upskilling and embracing change, even when it gets hard.
We’re kicking off the year with a webinar led by LMG Executive Chairman Sam White, Loan Market Edge’s Phil Rogers and Stamford Capital’s Domenic Lo Surdo. The January 31 webinar will focus on all things ahead in lending and property for 2024 from three of the industry’s most informed minds.
Regular webinars are just one way we make learning and development accessible for everyone in the LMG network. Four days a week, the Broker Education team behind Brokerversity - our centralised learning and development platform - hosts Thrives: informative and engaging online sessions. From lender showcases to MyCRM updates, marketing tutorials, business case studies and compliance skill-ups, the sessions provide ongoing takeaways that can be applied immediately within brokerages. If you can’t watch it live, you can catch up by heading to Brokerversity’s Learning Academy where all the sessions are hosted.
Additionally, once a month, the Thrives deep dive into a flagship week that bolsters core segments of broker knowledge and skills.
Brokerversity has teamed up with distinguished RTO Entry Education, to build industry-recognised qualifications through the platform’s virtual campus. The courses provide the practical skills and real-world expertise to become a successful broker, or refresh your approach with the latest learnings.
But online learning is only part of what we do to help brokers and their teams break through to the next level.
This year, our calendar is stacked with events. There’s a host of state-based Professional Development days in capital cities in March, April and November, national and state-based learning retreats, small roundtable forums that promote peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, while our specialist Asset Finance and Commercial PD sessions will be held in July, furthering our commitment to help brokers diversify their businesses.
Growth is best achieved when brokers can ride the journey with like-minded peers, sharing tribulations and celebrations and becoming stronger as a result.
LMG is home to many communities that make up our diverse network:
- Leading Ladies
- Best Interest Mates
- Asset Finance Club
- Commercial Connect Circle
- Young Business Owners
- Client Support Managers
- Finclude.
There’ll also be specialist events for top performers including:
- LMG’s Top 100 business owners ranking and event in February
- LMG’s first Top 250 broker event in June
- Our first LMG Group awards night in Melbourne in August.
All our learning and development initiatives have been designed to support the goals of our many and different businesses. Whether it's a new brokerage looking to scale, or an established team seeking out new opportunities for growth, everyone in LMG will find people and professional development opportunities to make 2024 their best year yet.
