LMG’s mission to protect the cyber activities of brokers and clients’ data was recognised last night with the aggregator’s Luke Jarmaine named CISO of the Year at the Australian Cyber Security Awards.

 The Awards’ top honour - open to CISOs across all industries in Australia - underlines LMG’s industry lead in developing a cyber safe environment for all businesses within Australia and New Zealand’s largest broker community.

 Luke Jarmaine has led LMG’s InfoSec strategy with a focus on three pillars:
  • Keeping brokers safe by securing their data, and their client data, through business processes and capabilities;
  • Creating a cyber and privacy aware community across LMG, increasing resilience against cyber threats to small business;
  • Building partner and customer confidence in the security of LMG platforms with best practice industry certifications across LMG’s residential, commercial and asset finance operations.
Recently LMG achieved the ISO27001:2022 certification and assessed up to the SOC2 Type 2 standard, which demonstrates its commitment to embedding security and privacy controls into platforms and the organisation.

 Mr Jarmaine said he was honoured to win the award on behalf of LMG and the team.

 “This recognition is a testament to LMG's proactive approach to integrating advanced security measures and educational programs that safeguard our brokers and their clients. It's been a collective effort aimed at innovation and excellence in cybersecurity.”

 David McQueen, Group Executive, Risk & Strategic Partnerships of LMG, said that the recognition is a powerful endorsement of our promise to keep brokers safe through robust cybersecurity measures.

 “Keeping our brokers safe is a key promise that LMG works hard to deliver on. We’re so proud of Luke and the team for their dedication to safeguarding brokers’ data and operations, ensuring they can focus on what matters most: helping their clients and growing their businesses with confidence,” he said.

“The award recognises Luke's expertise and commitment, and I congratulate him on this great achievement.”
