Leading aggregator LMG has unveiled a boosted sales and support structure within its Asset Finance team, introducing new roles to bolster broker support and drive recruitment. The strategic appointments are part of the group’s commitment to meeting the rising demand for asset finance solutions.

Joining the team is Liz Somers, formerly Distribution Head of Growth at Fintelligence, who steps into the role of Head of Asset Finance, Loan Market & Partner. Liz will spearhead efforts to enhance broker growth across the asset finance space

Michael Marafiote has been promoted to Growth Manager – VIC/TAS, SA, while Abigael Shepherd has rejoined the group for the same regions following a stint as an asset finance broker.

LMG Group Executive – Asset Finance, Tom Caesar, says the appointments strengthen the group’s asset finance strategy heading into 2025.

“Last year, we set ambitious targets to support brokers in the asset finance aggregation space, particularly through the launch of our asset finance service plans, which provided brokers with tech, marketing, and support resources,” Caesar said. “This year, we’re focused on delivering on those promises while continuing to grow our asset finance and diversified businesses," he said.

“Liz brings extensive experience supporting businesses to grow their asset finance portfolio and will bring immense value to the LMG broker network. Abbie knows our business well and the fact that she’s been a broker herself provides her with a deep understanding of the support our broker partners need.”

LMG Head of Sales & Aggregation – Asset Finance, Ryan Greaney, says Mr Marafiote was a logical appointment to support recruitment across VIC, TAS and SA.

“Michael has become a familiar and trusted presence across our broker network, having worked closely with our asset finance businesses over the past two years,” Greaney said. “His background as a broker, coupled with a thorough understanding of our value proposition, makes him uniquely positioned to help new recruits see how LMG can support their business growth.”

All appointments have commenced their roles.

In addition to these changes, LMG recently added personal lender MONEYME to its lender panel, further expanding the options available to brokers and their clients.
