The Share Tomorrow Foundation launched in April and has already delivered two major campaigns, with broker-led fundraising efforts making a direct impact on the ground.
Its latest initiative, the 20 by 30 campaign with charity partner Friends With Dignity, aimed to help fund 20 fully furnished Sanctuary Homes by 30 June for families escaping domestic violence.
Thanks to more than $50,000 raised by LMG team members, the broker community and the Ray White network, the Share Tomorrow Foundation fully funded 10 of these homes and contributed to the creation of 24 in total exceeding the original target and helping more families access a safe place to rebuild their lives.
“These homes are more than just a roof over someone’s head – they’re a chance to feel safe, start fresh and rebuild with dignity,” said Carly Lloyd, Chair of the Share Tomorrow Foundation.
“Brokers have shown that when they get behind something meaningful, they go all in. Share Tomorrow is about helping them channel that care into real, lasting impact.”
Brokers have been personally involved in the campaign volunteering in setting up Sanctuary Homes, including Samantha Barnett, Director of Loan Market Scenic.
“I recently had the privilege of setting up a Sanctuary Home for a mother and her children. It wasn’t just a safe place, it was the first time they’d been able to live together in over a year. The women’s shelter they had been staying in couldn’t accommodate boys over the age of 16, so they had been separated. This home didn’t just provide safety, it united a family back together.”
The Foundation’s momentum began at LMG’s Growth Summit, where the Wild West Give Fest raised over $42,000 to support communities affected by Cyclone Alfred.
“That initial surge of generosity has continued to grow, with brokers leading local fundraisers, setting up donation pages and involving their customers and communities,” said Ms Lloyd.
“The Share Tomorrow Foundation will continue to support campaigns led by brokers and powered by purpose, with toolkits and partnerships designed to make giving back easier and more effective.”
