Speaking in response to LMG Executive Chairman Sam White’s address at their Top 100
Business Owners Summit in Sydney, Mr McQueen stressed that with broker market share
projected to hit 80% in 2025, standing out is no longer optional - it’s essential.
“The brokers who will thrive aren’t just great at what they do, they’re great at making sure
customers know it,” said Mr McQueen.
He warned: “With demand for brokers surging, complacency is the biggest risk to business
growth.”
“More Australians are choosing brokers than ever before, but that also means more
competition. Word-of-mouth referrals, while valuable, are no longer enough to sustain
growth in an increasingly competitive market.”
“It’s not just about being a great broker; it’s about being visible, memorable, and the first
choice for clients.
“A strong brand fosters trust, attracts new clients, and strengthens relationships with
existing ones.”
Brokers who invest in branding, marketing, and customer experience will be better
positioned to secure a larger share of the expanding market.
“Consumers today are more informed. They’re searching online, comparing options, and
looking for brokers who project confidence and credibility,” Mr McQueen said.
“If you’re not showing up where your potential clients are looking, you’re leaving business
on the table.”
To support its brokers, Loan Market is investing heavily in digital marketing solutions that
help them grow their brand, find more clients, and build long-term relationships.
“We give our brokers the tools to amplify their brand and make sure they’re front and center when customers need them,” said Mr McQueen.
“From custom-built, lead-generating websites to social media strategies and search engine
optimisation, we’re ensuring our brokers don’t just compete - they lead.”
Loan Market brokers also benefit from the group’s independent ownership and client-first
model.
“Loan Market is 100% family-owned and free from bank influence, which means they can
offer customers real choice with no conflicts,” said Mr McQueen.
“With access to over 70 lenders and an industry-leading Net Promoter Score of +98, our
brokers are perfectly positioned to serve the eight in 10 Aussies who will seek out the
services of a broker in 2025.”
